‘Us’ is a poem about meeting someone special and being so irreversibly happy that you had the luck to meet them. It’s about being extremely optimistic about a new acquaintance — maybe even experiencing love at first sight.
‘Something new’ is about relationships evolving. How you can be certain that they are set in stone, but suddenly the complexity changes.
‘Limits’ is about the fluctuating line between flirting and cheating.
‘Track’ is about being in love with a person who strings you along by giving you tiny rays of hope without fully committing.
‘A second song’ is an excerpt from a song I wrote back in 2012. It’s about being in a relationship where the other person does not communicate and you having to guess how they feel. This leads to you doubting the relationship and wanting to give up, but what will you choose?
‘Ready’ is a follow-up piece to ‘Maybe’ about finally feeling ready to meet someone new. This piece, however, focuses on the optimism behind finally being ready. Furthermore, the feelings shown here are of a person being certain that the next person is worth it.
‘Maybe’ is about finally feeling ready to meet someone and how it could go two ways. Either it’s a perfect match or it may not work out. Either way the feeling perceived here is being ready for and accept either scenario.
‘Outgrown’ is about going through a breakup and feeling lonely and deserted.
‘Path’ is about following blindly in the footsteps of your partner without considering what you want to do yourself. It’s about realizing this and potentially being in a dilemma if both parties do not want the same things out of life.
