‘Reeling’ is a poem about being over someone. How feelings of longing for them and despising them can change so fast.
‘Three paths, one truth’ is a poem about overthinking and being unsure how to go about a new relationship. Should you go fast, go slow, is it mutual, is it only one person in it?
‘Blinking lights’ is a piece inspired by Mark Oliver Everett (also known as E) from the band Eels. One of my favorite artists to listen to when I’m a bit down. The poem centers around an imbalance in a relationship.
‘Redemption’ is a piece about not being able to find that special someone.
‘Freezing fever’ is about having a hard time feeling anything and how some try to kick-start that feeling by going to extremes. It’s important to tackle your issues and get help if you need it!
‘Limitations’ is about doubt and stopping yourself from potentially good things.
‘Let go’ is a piece that reflects an instrumental tune I made of a same theme. The tune is recurring and resembles one’s state of mind.
Have you ever ridden your bike and seen a car, bus or tram pass you by and you started going as fast as you could trying to catch up to it, even though it does not help you at all? ‘Chasing’ is about all that. About always following what you think you want like a sheep instead of realizing what’s in front of you.
When you’re weak, you can only get stronger. The poem ‘Strong’ is about thoughts wandering off back and forth thinking if one should get in touch with an old flame. Would doing so be something both of you actually want or is it just a confidence boost? Will you regret it?
